Wrap dresses and special occasion styles, with the widest range I saw: 0X to 5X. The suggested retail on the listing I checked was well above the others here, so this suits a store with a higher ticket or an occasion-dress section.

Curve Market

Tiered and floral midi dresses in 1X to 3X. Easy everyday dresses for a women's boutique adding a plus section.

Black Pearl Clothing

Ruched bodycon midi dresses. A fit for stores that sell date-night and event outfits.

Tops, layers and sets

Winslow Collection

Pant and cardigan sets, printed dress sets, sweaters and blouses at a lower suggested retail than most brands here. Many styles run S to 3XL, so check each listing's size options before counting it as plus size.

How I would compare plus size brands on Faire

• Real size range. Look at the size options on several products, not just one.
• Size charts. A 2X from one brand may fit like a 3X from another. Read the measurements.
• Prepacks. Some brands sell sizes in fixed packs. Make sure the pack matches what your customer buys.
• Price band. Your plus customer expects the same range of prices as your straight-size customer.
• Category gaps. Dresses are easy to find. Tops, layers and bottoms are often thinner, so fill those.
