Before you fall in love: none of these names has been checked for availability. Search your state business registry, the domain, the social handles and the USPTO trademark database, and follow your state and local registration rules before you order signs or packaging.
How to choose between your finalists
Narrow to three, then run each one through this:
- The dog park test. Say it to five pet owners. If they ask you to repeat or spell it, drop it.
- The cat bed test. Imagine selling cat toys, a candle and a leash under the name. Does it still fit?
- The price test. Would a $60 collar look right with this name on the tag? Would a $4 chew?
- The search test. Search it on Google and Instagram. A nearby groomer or rescue with a similar name is a reason to move on.
- The handle test. Check the .com and your main social platform together. Close enough is not good enough.
